Located in downtown Detroit, the Belt Line Center is Michigan’s first building to utilize PACE financing to fund a green roof project. The 17,250 square foot extensive green roof covers over 80% of the total retrofit roof area and includes two beehives to promote cross pollination in the area. It is a Hydrotech Garden Roof® Assembly planted with InstaGreen® Carpet and kept watertight by Monolithic Membrane 6125®. The green roof at this Albert Kahn building is a welcome addition to the Belt Line Center’s growing community of artisans and creative entrepreneurs.
