Millennium Park is essentially a vegetated roof that covers underground parking and a rail yard and is considered the world's largest rooftop garden! Hydrotech is proud to say that Monolithic Membrane 6125 is keeping those trains and cars protected. The Jay Pritzker Pavillion, designed by Frank Gehry, is the centerpiece of the park and looks out over a lush lawn that was completed with Hydrotech's Garden Roof Assembly.
Transforming that enormous and unsightly space in 2004 allowed the city of Chicago to revitalize the area by bringing sustainable and economical benefits to the area. The many green roof spaces will help absorb pollutants from the air, filter stormwater runoff, and reduce the urban heat island effect.
